Geopeitus stardib kosmosesse!

Jällegi midagi huvitavat laiast ilmast. Astronaut Rick Mastracchio viib Rahvusvahelise kosmosejaama aardesse International Space Station ühe geopeituse ränduritest. Tegu on Connecticuti algkooli 5.klassi laste õppeprojektiga. Ränduri abil õpetatakse lastele geograafiat, maateadust ja loodusteadusi.

See pole küll esimene kord, mil mõni rändur nii kaugele on rännanud. Esimene rändur, mis 2008.aastal kosmosejaama külastas oli International Space Station Travel Bug, mis hetkel asub geopeituse peakorteris Seattle´is.

Kosmosemissioon saab alguse Kasahstanist 7.novembril 2013 kell 4:08 GMT (06:08 Eesti aja järgi). Astronaut Rick elab kosmosejaamas 6 kuud.

Geopeituse peakorter Seattle´is on otsustanud välja anda virtuaalse suveniiri kõigile, kes osalevad stardipäeval mõnel sündmusaardel. Meenutuseks, et kõik sündmusaarded tuleb avaldamiseks üles anda vähemalt 2 nädalat enne toimumiskuupäeva. Rohkem infot kosmosesündmuste kohta saab geopeituse BLOGIST

To maximize the number of geocachers at your event, check to see if there is already another event published in your area. If there’s already an event, be a team player! See if you can help the event host with planning their event. You can share the load and maybe even serendipitously make a new friend."

Trine I totally agree with this, it is something that will have to happen if we have any hope of finally hosting Estonia's First Mega

Tavaliselt nõutakse sellisel puhul ka tõlget .. seega palun ülevaadet mida siia kopeeritud on.

Mina tsiteerisin sedasama geocachingu blogi, millele Carolina viitas. Seal antakse sündmuse korraldajatele muuhulgas selline soovitus:

Et saada oma sündmusele võimalikult rohkem geopeitureid, uuri järele, kas teie piirkonnas on juba mõni avaldatud sündmus. Kui juba on, siis tehke koostööd! Vaata, kas saad korraldajat omalt poolt millegagi aidata. Sul on võimalus tema töökoormat kergendada; ehk isegi veab ning saad endale hea uue sõbra.
